Re: My new neps
Marvin...Put it in a more shaded area first cause it has too aclimatise...I moved my rack to the opposite side of my balcony so that it doesn't receive the hot burning direct sun anymore...Only direct sun during late afternoon too evening..

This is N Thoreli...I not it doesn't exist in cultivation but was sold to me as this sooo any experts to help me on this?? Well i did alittle researching, couldnt find much. thorelii tends to be more of a lowland plant, so you should be fine. I also found out it is one of the only nepenthes with a rhizome! Be interesting to make some hybrids and see if they would carry this trait. hope this helps ken |

Re: My new neps
Hi Vincent....Like i said thorelli is not in cultivation yet...I looked at the photos of some of the indochinease neps in the wild and find this looking abit more like N.Kongkadana...
Anyway bout the rhizome..I thought it was more like a tuber or something...This traits appear normally on these kind of neps...Another example would be N viking..This is to help them survive the drought period they experience in the wild (correct me if im wrong) |
