Druids.

I think this ionantha needs no further intro. It's unique by it's own. Clear crisp yellow leaves at athesis with pure white flower.
Have some blooming at the moment.
Enjoy the picts.

Cool Druids :1thumbup:. They are the reason for Ionanthas....*biggrin2*
Andy, I have a question about my ionanthas. Why are my ionanthas not blooming? I have been putting them under full sun but they simply refuse to turn red. Do they need to be permanently grown under full sun to get them to bloom? TIA!

Alvin, I wouldn't put them under full sun if I were you. One thing for sure is the older leaves will die back faster than new growth. They love plenty of indirect sunlight. Don't pressure yourself forcing them to flower for you. These plants are funny. They will take their own sweet time to do their business. One day they will reward you with their fullest best bloom. Have patience.

But there are ways...some bypass. Have read elsewhere that there are humans who put them together in a/c room or in a fridge at night to initiate bloom.
I'll leave that for you to decide. No liabilities!*biggrin2*

Ok...in that case I'll just leave them alone. :crying: I really want to see them in flower like they do in subtropical climates. All red, purple, pink, orange, yellow, white :tt1:...

The last ionantha that flowered was the Mexico, that was about last year. Only one plant from the whole clump of six flowered, the pink faded after two days. :spinning:
