Re: N fusca VS N boschiana

Hi Choong

Well to me no matter what conditions we give as in if we give highlanders highland conditons and same goes to lowland with lowland conditions highland neps in my case tends to grow considerably quite slowly thats if i compare it with my lowland neps.Anyways who wouldn't want a bigger plant....My dad always ask me to get smaller neps so that can slowly grow them till they're big (more satisfaction hehe) I only saw one boschiana at the nursery that day but well they could be hiding everywhere....And thanks for the advice...Looks like out of all the comments overall boschiana is a better grower in LL conditions.

Hi Soon

Well if you were to say stress because of to much sun means they like shaded conditons??? And also if it send out flower stalks while its stress could be because it thinks its gonna die (survival mechanisme).

yeah, got a couple of plants that flowers due to stress, usually due to too much sun. however, i am still trying to figure out why the fusca dont do well. either not enough light (i grow them in a pretty dark place), humidity or temp problem.

Well i hope my miranda ain't flowering because of stress haha.......Anyways it shouldn't really be the temp since they are maybe ok with LL but higher humidity always helps when growing highland neps in LL conditions...Lighting is also very important.

I like boschiana more than fusca. They seem to be more elongated and more beautiful than fusca. Plus, I am SUPRISED that the boschiana at Fauzi is sooo beautiful and pitchering nicely even in LL. I thought they were highland plants?

Cheers

Hi Ed

Long time no see hahaha.......Anyways neither of those 2 neps are true highlanders from what i see.....Although as you might see fusca is a little more maybe to the highland side.Well anyways both are intermediates so i this thread was just to compare these 2 guys..
