Tuberous sundews Photos
 
My tuberous sundew are just starting break dormancy, many of them have been sitting just the surface waiting for rain. This happen last week.... Here the photos.

Taken with a flash, Drosera erythrorhiza ssp erythrorhiza flower stalk.

Drosera macrantha ssp eremaea, just ermerging.

Drosera peltata - basal rosette, this plant grows in cermanic pot with capensis.

Same plant four day later, one new leaf.

D. praefolia, South Australian Sundew, rare and only found here :smile:
Note the lack of leaves, flower first then rosette come up

Which one? the 2nd photo D. macrantha ssp eremaea, or the last one D. tubastylus.

They will flower when they wake up from dormancy???!!!That is nice!!!! :1thumbup:

Nice, I wish tuberous sundews are as easy to get here in the states. The flowers are nice, how large are they?

caseyhoo-species like tubaestylus and erythrorhiza flower at the beginning of active growth, other like stolonifera and rupicola flower about half way through the active growth phase. Finally species like auriculata, macrantha and menzesii flower a few weeks before heading for dormancy

alcran-tubeastylus flowers about 1cm (1/2") diameter, erythrorhiza about 7mm across.
