If you Advanced edit yours post that have photo attached. There is a "Attachments" option (clip photo, beside smile face). Click it, then you can see there is drop down list box of yours photo that attached. Click it. Then, you suppose will see some text appear at yours post. Example is below. You save it, then yours photo suppose will appear automatically. Hope you get what I means (What I wrote is called broken English ;) )

For the kuchingensis hybrid mines smaller than yours. But i remembered shawn said that the hybrid is either one of those "thorelii" species or miranda. Note that thorelii is not in really incultivation so it should be one of those newly described species

If shawn said it was either miranda or thorelii i think we should dismiss those male parents. Some "thorelii" has fat lips and also the leaves of mine aren't really mirabilis like. I'll try to take a picture of my mirabilis and this kuchingensis hybrid. But its still to young to be sure

Just a thought that came through my mind, Does anyone realise that for example we buy a TCed plant from BE or something even if the plant is as small as those seedlings shown here or even smaller their pitchers are quite colourful and more matured looking.
BTW beautiful seedlings there cbkhoon. I remembered there are only 2 possible male parents for this hybrid. I have one pathetic looking one left. |

Ken, I too noticed the same thing on BE plants. It's like a refined version with selected clones being used as breeding stock. And the shape of the BE plants are also different if compared between two plants of the same species, eg: ampullaria from BE vs ampullaria local. BE clones have longer pitchers compared to local amps in S size.

I think No 4 could be globosa x mirabilis... or Giant Tiger x mirabilis No 6 hard to say... could be hook x amp like Alvin mentioned but I think I saw signs of viking x kuching as one of the parent.... |
