Re: raff seedling
Wow.. Those big pitchers must also be the result of excellent culture.. :) Interesting how the tendrils of your raffs has part of the leaf blade attached right to the pitcher.. My raffs have smooth tendrils..

Re: raff seedling
Dear Robert was wondering if ur raff tricolor could be something else like raff Harlequin... I have a raff tricolor also but looks different then yours. Raffs got too many variation, sometimes confusing.

Re: raff seedling
those tri-colored pitchers are really lovely!!

Re: raff seedling
Alienfx, raff colours and forms are very diverse. Under the raff tricolour category they came in different colours and shapes . Tendrils are either the normal, winged or elongated, pitchers are either nprmal, squat or giant.

Re: raff seedling
Nice raffs everyone, I have to agree that raff is probably the most diverse among nepenthes species. Besides pitcher varieties and among others, you can also see different coloration on the underside of the leaves.
Since they're mostly L/L nep, It make it possible for hobbyist from the tropics to be able to grow them easily in our L/L tropical weather, I'm proud to be one of them... *biggrin2* To add to the tricolor varieties, here's one of my tricolor but without the fancy frilled winged tendril... :shy: http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/9...fftricolor.jpg |
Re: raff seedling
Nice Raff there,Nepnut...Wonder why Raff's got so much variety? What gives them the different colour's?Why certain place only have certain colours?

Yup, they're so many vareities and it's confusing sometimes. I believe your's is a MT clone which they labled as "Squat Red", it's actually a form of tricolor raff with red color on the underside of the leaves. |
Re: raff seedling
It's actually 'Kuching squat red' right Robert?;)
|
Re: raff seedling
Hi Ali,
Ya... Missed the word "Kuching"...:shy: thanks for the reminder. With so many varieties of raffs, it's hard to remember all their specific name in details. I just label them alphabetically using A, B, C... and so on. *biggrin2* |
