Wild Nep By Roadside In Penang

Saw this wild plant while on evening walk. Had passed this place many times but did not notice it till yesterday.

Anybody able to ID it?

It's N. albomarginata. The white 'collar' around the rim is the give away.

Adam said it  but it could also possibly be a hybrid between them (though most likely pure albo). Any close ups of the pitchers? A very nice looking specimen.

As you can see, the plant is quite high up from road surface. Will try to get a zoomed in pic next walk.

This larger pic may help?

Most experienced Penang CP grower know where can see this in Penang but I think the population is getting less due to aggressive development and human interuptions including poaching & harvesting.

Re: Wild Nep By Roadside In Penang

Definitely albomarginata. Other species in Penang like mirabilis, gracilis, ampullaria occur in such small stands that the probability of a hybrid cross is very low. albo x ampullaria has the typical hookeriana like lid, albo x mirabilis has the flattened peristome like mirabilis. The uppers are strongly infundibulate, plus I cannot see any petiole wing down the side of the stem at the leaf-stem junction, thus ruling out albo x gracilis.
