Interesting thought Zak. You are one step ahead of me. I was just thinking of the International Carnivorous Plant Society, Malaysian chapter. But I like your idea more. haaa, haa...

Welcome again Rajah. Glad to have you with us. Just curious, how did you find out about this forum?

Well David, I knew about this forum from a google search on "Nepenthes sumatrana". Yes this forum is in English so I think it will attract global members.

Hi too, bifurcatum, fishingman and cactustts!

Zakh, I think there are plenty of arang sekam also in Malaysia. And coconut husk for example is used by Borneo Exotics successfully, but that's because they dont have any other choice. Also when using coconut husk, beware of salt. It must not be processed anywehere near the beach.

hi Dino, do you grow the tropical ping or know of any source of tropical ping seeds/cuttings?
I might need it when I want to start my ping collection.

Hi rajah,

You could try asking for seeds and plants on CPUK-I dont know any sources that are outside of Europe or North America. I could send you some though, PM me for details.

Dino
