Re: L/L Nepenthes of South Western Peninsular Malaysia
Looks like it was a fun trip. It's nice to see that there are some places where neps are thriving.

First photo under Pahang section aren't those seed pods in the photo? No close up? No seeds got caught on your pant accidentally? :)

Re: L/L Nepenthes of South Western Peninsular Malaysia
Boo song liau lorr (Don't feel nice already)... Such an amazing trip and you did not ask me along.
Thanks for the great pictures and documentary tho'. Really beautiful. Amazing that the sphagnum moss is able to thrive so well under lowland conditions. I especially like the clump of gracilis basels. Just love them when they grow that way. The "hot lips" gracilis is just georgeous! The rafflesiana pictures are just amazing. Such huge pitchers. Lim, quickly post the burmanii pictures please. :2thumbup: I think this is the first time I've seen or heard of someone finding drosera in Peninsular Malaysia. It is always in Borneo. Well done man! |
Re: L/L Nepenthes of South Eastern Peninsular Malaysia
From my observation about the LSM growing naturally in L/L condition, if without the cool stream to keep it moist and cool constantly(~28C), I don't think it can fluorish. The key is the moisture that keeps them going....
BA, After this trip, I'll be grounded for at least 3-4 months liao... :crying: Hi Arvin, All seeds seems accidentally stick to Lim's pants... *biggrin2**biggrin2* Hi David, Mai ar neg kuan lah... (Please don't be like that... *biggrin2*). Actually I'm Lim's driver for this trip as he needed to collect some bettas for his research with USM, so the main objective is to go collect the bettas... Always next time... still many2 spots to see but so little time. |
Re: L/L Nepenthes of South Eastern Peninsular Malaysia
Robert, I know how grounded you'll be. Grounded for three 4 months... that's an understatement. Hehe. Thanks for sharing anyway. Would you mind putting up more habitat pictures. Love to see the surroundings where the nep is growing.
