To bag or not to bag
 

Guys,

Newbie here on neps propagation and would appreciate all input on the matter.

I have just planted some cuttings from my Miranda upper pitchers in spagnum moss and I have read that it would be condusive if I'm am to bag it to increase the humidity.

Have also planted cuttings from Hookeriana basals in spagnum moss and was wondering if bagging would increase the chances of a speedier growth.

Correct me if I am wrong but I think the humidity in Malaysia is pretty high as it already is.

At the moment, there are in the shade with about 15% sunlight.

Dont need to bag it. If there is leaf, just cut it half. Please make sure the media is really wet. Im not really expert in propagate nepenthes through cutting. But, so far, I got 70% success rate. I get less success rate for the growing tips cutting, if compare with others stem cutting.

Please correct me if im wrong.

My opinion or preference is to put bag no matter what, the reason is that if you bag, the humidity and in part the temperature is a bit more stable. At least in my case I have better sucess with cuttings that were bagged than those that weren't.
