Pt Addis Drosera

Here are a few Pic's I took while along the Great Ocean Rd. These plants are off a side Road that takes you down to the Cliffs near Bells Beach. The predominate plants where D. whittakeri but there were a few D. auriculata.

This is the view from a few metres down the road from where the photo's were taken.

Lastly the embankment the plants are growing on. Some of the plants are growing out on the horizontal face of the cutting.

It looks like a very sandy media from the pictures. My guess is 90% sand? But I can see moisture in the sand as well. Thanks Adam for sharing these pictures. I love all these natural habitat pictures, especially when I can't see it here in Malaysia.

I agree David, on all counts! Great story Adam and yes the soil is much more sandy than I expected. I guess the mosses/algae is a sign of how moist it has recently been. The D. whittakeri look really rugged and tough! Just the kind of plant I like to try to grow!
