This form is quite difficult to flower but it is flowering non-stop for a friend of mine. He passed me this a couple of days ago so I thought I better take some photos before the flowers die for me. http://s3.images.proboards.com/tongue.gif

No feeding for all my terrestrial utrics. But maybe there may be little worms already inside the peat...I dunno. http://s3.images.proboards.com/shocked.gif

Hehe, I put it there for fun. Watering if planted in a pot would be using a container as deep as the pot.

heheh very nice setup, putting it in a class container. I can see that the medium is peat moss + sand.. what about light requirements?

Cute plant! Haha it's the one terrestrial utric that I want. Too many to collect all @_@ there are like 214 or something. So I'm just gonna go for 2, sandersonii and gibba. Just wondering, do each of the flowers actually produce seeds? I wouldn't mind buying/trading for seeds haha. I like how you put it in that container hehe, it looks good http://s3.images.proboards.com/smiley.gif

Hi Zakhren, there are two forms of sandersonii. I have not gotten any seeds from the white form and I have not heard from my friend that he has seeds from this blue form too. But utrics are easy to propagate. Just pinch a clump out like the one in the photo, chuck it in peat media and it will continue to grow. Just that the blue form does not flower so readily. I am still experimenting.

Really that easy to propagate? Haha well i suppose if I had to choose one then I'd go for the white. But you continue experimenting. I don't know much about utrics~

As far as I know, U sandersonii doesn't produce seeds, it breeds through divisions if I'm not mistaken. « Last Edit: Sept 4, 2007, 7:22pm by cactustts »Link to Post - Back to Top http://s3.images.proboards.com/ip.gif LoggedTS cindy
