here is a recent photo of my sarras flower i took this morning b4 i go 4 work...the flower bud looks like it's going to bloom anytime soon...
Need advise.Should i pollinate the flower or it will self pollinate?
i read at wikipedia saying that the flower of sarras are design so that it will not self pollinate...

you should pollinate it manually, to increase seeds production....

Thanks...the sarras on the back ground are 100% S.flava.The one that is on flower do look like S.leucophylla, but i'm in doubt because the lid of the picther does not have a 'point'.refer to the picture...

Zul : the s.flava & purpurea seeds looks like almonds but way tinier, .....brown coloured....hybrids` seeds look anything between a cashew nut & peanut.

if you crush the seed pods, you`ll be able to spot them as the seeds are quite tough & can`t be crushed easily unlike the seed pods. i either just scatter the seeds & let them try to grow or if i`ve got time, i`ll use the clothes bleach method to clear off the seed shell.
