A visit to Fauzi's nursery
Hi everyone,
I went to Fauzi's nursery yesterday..my uncle drove me there. We were lost at first but managed to get direction from Fauzi by phone. Have to tell you guys who wants to visit him, print out the map from his website or you'll get lost for sure.(i swear:bored:) His plants are so damn big.He have rafflesiana, veitchii bareo, truncata and not forgetting bicalcarata(big momma). He told me that he's been growing the 'big momma' for 8 years and it so big untill the inflorescence is popping out of his shade cloth. To whoever loves xDyeriana but can't get it, i advice you guys to buy rafflesiana x veitchii from Fauzi as it looks very similar to dyeriana except the size:tongue:.It's very colourful though. Love his viking x bicalcarata, viking x rafflesiana. He have tons of vogelli. and a lot of seedlings. I took some pics and will upload later. Didn't take a lot of pics though as we are getting late for our meeting at KLCC. Only about 25+. Thanx!:1thumbup: |

Re: A visit to Fauzi's nursery
Funny you mentioned this Ali, I was at Fauzi's nursery too on the 16th, didn't took any pictures as I have only a short time to drop by and get some neps from him, would love to stay longer and chat but on a tight schedule... :crying:
He got many interesting neps... PS : I also got lost even with a GPS navigation :blush: |
Re: A visit to Fauzi's nursery

Re: A visit to Fauzi's nursery
How long(hours) or far(km) is his nursery from KL? I'm thinking of visiting.

Re: A visit to Fauzi's nursery
It's about 40 minutes drive from PJ Aaron.

Re: A visit to Fauzi's nursery
If you start from KL tower.....hehehehe, its about half an hour to 45 minutes with normal traffic. That is if you take the shortest way there. If it is a bad jam, it can take up to one hour or more depending where the jam flow is from. Thanks goodness I live in KL, I know the time duration to PJ, Sepang and the areas around KL.:2thumbup::2thumbup::2thumbup:
No pictures????? Nvm, I'll be visiting him soon, try your best Aaron, who knows whether we may meet there, but thats impossible, i'm going there between these four days. You must have a nice day there, congrats, Ali! Cheers:1thumbup: |

Re: A visit to Fauzi's nursery
For those dont have transport... For public transport, you all can try to get Putra LRT to Ampang station. From there, get a taxi. Follow map and call Fauzi...

Re: A visit to Fauzi's nursery
Perhaps Fauzi should put up cute roadsigns with nepenthes pitchers in pointing visitors in the right direction. You just have to 'pakai hentam' and you will get there, lol
