@Ali: plantlover already answered that, it is becoming woody not turning brown the bad way *biggrin2*

Ed and Aaron,

Thanx for your reply,i never grew a sibuyanensis personaly so i didn't know they become woody when young.

My plants is only about 35cm in height.Just a rough estimate.

But i'm fine if the plant is not dying.;)

wow!How lovely.A year of taking care of it definitely has paid off.BTW do u encounter any problem of growing it in burnt earth?

I grow some of my plants (raffs, gracilis, mirabilis, x coccinea) in burnt earth and I find that they do quite well. I water them twice daily, once in the morning and in the evening. Other Neps like Miranda, Belli and Sumatrana I plant in mix of sand and peat plus perlite and a small amount of moss (for top dressing).

Yes actually,they do dry out fast and doesn't give humidity like sphagnum moss.:spinning:
