Sarracenia seeds to give away under terms and condition
 

Below is the seeds i available for FOC, but under several condition

1)must have at least 20 posts.

2)do have clear idea on how to germinate/raise them from seeds to mature plant(means you have to know clear idea on their life-cycle)

3)send me a SASE after i had confirm you about the species you had picked

4)update picture in Petpitcher Forum > Sarracenia , minimum every one picture per month for the first half-year and after that period, it will be minimum one picture per half year(Do think it as report, =) )

5)A well stabilized cutting will be asked from each plants(after you had successes in cultivate them and they get HUGE!) The plants which donated will be use to bid and then fund that earn will be use for good

6)each members are only allow to take 2species(each portion have 5seeds)

7)Sorry, it is strictly for Malaysian only...

Hey . . . Since this thrend is open . . . I would like to ask if any one has a s.leucophylla that has just started to grow a flower? I would like to send some pollen to he/she to cross and we split 50/50seeds...... .My sarra is a s.rubra hybird. . . .for pics pls go and see my post on my flower. . . . I will update it every week.*biggrin2*

From what i know, put some moist but not wet sphag moss and the seed in the bag and put in the fridge (not freezer). Im going to try that soon.

I think you misinterpret me. For dormancy you need to put a moist sphag moss. To do so just soak the moss in water and squeeze excess water out with hand then put this moss along with the seed in plastic bag. After a month yes you can do so but i prefer partial shade to prevent it from heating in the container. If i did mentioned anything wrong or any point can be improved please feel free to add/correct it

pos express this few weeks is slw.i send the hygrometer to Jimmy on Tuesday last week and it reach on friday.the density of the mail is high now i guess :)

is it i can use a small plate or cover to fill some moist life sphag moss?
put the seeds on,cover with zip lock bag.keep in fridge. :laugh:

an old CP grwer from Aussie told me that sarracenia seeds can be stratify without being moist.just store the seeds in a baggie and fridge it for 2months.
he had success germinating sarrs with that kind of stratification.

i also dont know why most people keep their seeds moist during stratification?

Received mine today. Too little seeds from this activity to try different methods. May draw wrong conclusion if problem is the seed itself.
I'll use other Sarra seeds that I've around 30 to try out.
