I usually sow the seeds on moist coco peat. No cover because the humidity in my place quite high. Put them under 70% shade. Germinate in 1 - 2 months time.

In that case, pls add 1 bag of coco peat into shopping list. Would like to experiment different condition under similar environment. Do you hv other seeds for sale?
1. When you said moist coco peat, do you soak-then-drain, water-till-wet, or spray-until-top wet?
2. Is it a good idea to hand spray on top of seeds? Of course nozzle will be at min size to create mist-like, but will the water pressure from spray hurts the potential seedlings?

1. Soak then drain.
2. Yes. You can hand spray the seeds. It won't hurt the seedlings.

Bactrus, point us to the poll if you have set it up :)

For me, I use the water tray method and Cocopeat.

How do I know if it is too wet? When molds start to grow, then it's too wet :(

How do I know if it is too dry? If the cocopeat on top is light brown and you can blow on them and they move! :(

Water tray, probably best if you let the water tray dry out for one day before replenishing. Make sure you have at least 3 inches height of cocopeat medium or else it might get too soggy/wet. Water tray is 1/4 inches high or less.

I also often put a humidity dome on my seeds, they seem to like it when I do, but maybe also because it lessens the amount of sunlight a bit.
