Singapore nepenthes
I just started collecting nepenthes not too long ago, and am particularly interested in Nepenthes rafflesiana, for it being one of the larger species, and also for the neverending variation in the plants. Of course, it being a species endemic to Singapore was one of the best things that could happen, even though there aren't many variants here.
Sharing a few pics of Singapore's rafflesiana.. lowers http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._8279731_n.jpg http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._2013627_n.jpg http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._7125081_n.jpg http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._2434343_n.jpg http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._4657283_n.jpg http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._4255051_n.jpg uppers http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._6273581_n.jpg http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._6937674_n.jpg intermediate http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._5629196_n.jpg |

Re: Singapore nepenthes
sorry for the late reply.
Ed, they're in a forest in sg... not all taken at the same place. the gracilis is in a wasteland. |
Re: Singapore nepenthes
I,m.so wondering how you ppl can easily smell where are the wild nep? I wish I can see personally the wild nep infront of m uh eyes others than gracilis

Re: Singapore nepenthes
ahbeng04, I find that once you start 'seeing' a nep in the area, you will suddenly see more and more, like your eyes have been 'opened'. Even at Genting Highlands, it always happen to me each time I go and see neps. At one trip, after about 15 mins, I realise that I was stepping on baby macs and baby sanguineas, that I didn't see in the first place
