Nepenthes rajah

i read this on wikipedia. Is this information correct? Are these clones male/ female? Is anybody sowing rajahs the last 2 jears? A lot of questions

This being the case, however, it appears that the genetic variability of cultivated N. rajah plants is very small, as all commercially available tissue-cultured plants are thought to belong to just four clones originating from the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew in London, England.

In many years many visitors have visited where rajah grows.Im sure some have taken some private collection. But who will admit if they taken any. Many tc culturers take samples from legimate source.Thats why got 4 clones etc.

Re: Nepenthes rajah

Of course there'll be illegal cloones in some collections. But will these clones still excist in about 10 or 15 years? I think it's important that new cloones will be introduced in bigger amounds. Therefor, I think it's important to provide some clones or some seeds to a commercial grower who's using TC-culture.
Does someone have contact with the parc-autorities at mount Kilabalu?
