Cindy, thanks for clarification. So this is a highland form but is doing well in sea level Singapore. Think I can start attending to my itch already, will hunt for one soon.

Re: N. veitchii

OK...here is the confusion...the MT's veitchii mystery...

MT has got two veitchii forms. The 'Bau' and the 'Hose Mountains'. From what we see on MT's website, the 'Hose Mountains' is green with golden peristome. The 'Bau', is supposed to be be pink with yellow peristome.

However, when I wrote to the senior botanist at MT two years ago, he pointed out that in Oliver's photos, the first veitchii is their lowland clone and the third is the highland clone. When I asked him about the pink form sold by MT several years ago, he said it was the Hose Mountains. And that was the plant that I am showing in this thread.

So who is right? The botanist at MT or the people who put up the plants for sale? http://www.greenculturesg.com/forum/...t/rolleyes.gif

Btw, how is everyone's veitchii doing? How does 'Bau' compares with 'Hose Mtns'?
