I grow them 8 months. It very easier and ful sun.

Yes, I grow test a plant. and test air plants it best.

Might be a stupid question, but what differentiates carnivorous Bromeliads from other bromeliads? Any distinctive features or functions?

In Surigao City (Mindanao Philippines) the mayor actually made an ordinance (law) to ban all bromeliads in the whole city because he or someone told him that mosquitos breed in them. True, but what a drastic measure! At least here in Manila no such law... yet.

Yes, how is anyone supposed to breed dart frogs without bromeliads? And does Surigao City have a mosquito department? I would think that would be enough to control mosquitos there.

ARE THERE NO MOSQUITO DEPARTMENTS IN ASIA???? Well, ok. Over here in the U.S. , or at least in my area, we have mosquito departments, which are local, govenment-owned departments which help control mosquitos. During the season when there are lots of mosquitos, mainly mid summer, they have trucks that go out and spay some sort of mosquito killing chemical. They also do things like educating the public on how to help control the mosquito population. With a mosuito department, the mayor of Surigao would not have even thought of banning bromeliads.

Better not let him know that mosquito larva have been found in Nepenthes pitchers. It might be the end of all Nepenthes in the area.
