how to sow sarracenia seeds?
 

my first time in sowing sarr seeds here now :)
but i wonder if i can get the seeds straight from the fridge onto the moist media under the hot sun drasticly?
or i need to aclimatize the seeds to warmer temps?

better you aclimatize the seeds. place in warmer place. usually it takes 1-2 weeks to geriminate.

Hey does dry stratification really work?????
I have a batch of seeds which came out of the fridge dry after 6 weeks.......
Two weeks(now) still no sign of germination........
Can I put them back in the fridge agin for .......???
I don't really know ....
Need some advice ASAP.

Dry stratification also work. I germinated them in merely water after stratiication. But I couldn't remember how long they took to sprout, but less then a month for sure.
Don't put the seeds back into the fridge again, they will die. Germinate them right away.

Sam,did u stratify your seeds on 1st February?

if so,if u bring it out after 6weeks stratify(which is 15th march),its only been 10days something..

Kepikimut,i just sow my seeds yesterday,can i put it under hot direct sun tomorrow?

i aready put them in bags and into the fridge .............
i plan to put them there for 1.5 weeks or so...........:crying:
really desprete for them to sprout ...................

will they really die if they go back into the fridge?
or should i bleach them??:spinning:

just let them sow in a warm wet media!2weeks is still not long enough.wait longer man and bring those seeds out ASAP!

after removed from the refrigerator of stratification, I put these seeds in the bright place but not direct sunlight. the temperature was pretty hot place.

the seeds are out and still in the baggies..........
i plan to leave them there and put the whole bag under direct sunlight slowly starting from tomorrow*biggrin2*

i dont use shade cloth.none above except plastic uv.
depending on the type of pots used.
these seedling was in the styrofoam used. no drain hole.

I introduce to direct sunlight when each seedling is starting to move into individual pots, or the plant looks like this

SO,WHILE waiting fr germination,u dnt give it any sunlight?


hw long does it take fr the sarr to grow like the second pic from germination day?

at what size and hw long u wait till u repot them to individual pot?

i give indicrect sunlight.birght, hot place.under plastic uv.
