how long neps seeds are viable after harvest
i would like to know how long nep seeds are viable after it is harvested from the plant. There are some ppl say 1 month & some say 2 months.
What about the storage condition? Can we keep them in the fridge ? |
Re: how long neps seeds are viable after harvest
The short answer is "It depends". There is an ongoing, but still waiting for confirmation, that Lowlander seeds might not keep too well/long because they tend to get ideal conditions once they are broadcasted naturally. Highland Seeds might not want to germinate to soon or at least it wants to be able to wait till the conditions are ready to start germinating.
Thus Lowland neps in general might not keep that long, while highland ones might keep a bit longer. That is the theory anyway and I myself aggree with this theory. As for keeping in the ref, I myself have never done this and probably wont', I'd only do this on my Sarracenia and VFT seeds. TTFN Arvin |
