my northiana

This northiana was repotted 4 months ago to a larger pot, the old pitchers dried up and now newer and bigger pitchers were formed.

The thin layer sphagnum moss were dressed on top for humidity and keep the roots cool, beneath were all coarse clay.

This new developing pitcher is going to be longer, aprox.4", perhaps longer when fully opened.

Nice northiana you have there.Any pictures of the inside coarse clay? How often you water them as coarse clay wont keep much water.

Dear Robert,

Nice pitchers that you have there. I can't help noticing that it's quite different from mine.

4" pitchers, about the same as mine... :D

Also, yours tend to be more elongated while mine is abit fatter.

Thanks for the comment everyone. Yup, Isaac , i notice the slight difference between our pitchers.

Alien, the coarse clay look like the pic below though this was from another pot. I water it everyday usually in the late evening. Coarse clay has more space inbetween therefore well aerated. It retains moisture due to its porous properties. northiana's leaves are thicker and retian water for it to survive longer dry spell and can withstand 2-3 days without watering.
