Retails at rm169.90. Sprayed it with anti-rust white paint before using. It catches both evening & morning sun as it is about 6 feet high. Angled sunlite is the biggest advantage here. Rays from the top only hit it for an hour or two at most so putting pots or trays one on top of another in the tiers isn`t quite a problem. It doesn`t block the sunlite from each other if placed properly. Will be getting another 4-tier rack tmrw to `file` more CPs....The current one looks a bit empty now as I`m still trying to figure out the sunlite levels, don`t want to roast my pings or scorch my neps.... My theory : everything else on top tiers. Neps bttm 2 or mebbe rite at the bttm to provide shaded conditions. http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1019/...e125d33d_m.jpg « Last Edit: 6 Jul, 2007, 13:01 by tarence »Link to Post - Back to Top http://s4.images.proboards.com/ip.gif Loggedcosmoking Full Member http://s4.images.proboards.com/stargreen.gifhttp://s4.images.proboards.com/stargreen.gifhttp://s4.images.proboards.com/stargreen.gif member is offline http://s4.images.proboards.com/buttons/email_sm.gif http://s4.images.proboards.com/buttons/message_sm.gif Joined: Apr 2007 Gender: Male http://s4.images.proboards.com/male.gif Posts: 186 Location: Bristol, United Kingdom http://s4.images.proboards.com/xx.gifRe: CP Filing system « Reply #1 on 7 Jul, 2007, 3:17 »Unfortunatly, while this may work for small CP's such as most Pings and most Drosera, it will not work for most Sarracenia and other tall CP's as they will want a lot more room then the 2nd row onwards has to offer. Good idea though and I can certainly see it working for small CP's! My other 4 tier rack which arrived today will more or less help to support the needs of the sarracenias....worse case scenario, get some other lower single racks for sarracenias alone. I used to grow my sarracenias on a flat wide single tier structure, this has rusted away, hence the need for new `equipment`. Thx for the comment Cosmoking. Well, I might end up being a small-sized CPs specialist in the future. Who knows ? heheh. |
