Yes, match in the longest match record for the Aussie Open.
It going to be mere 40 C today and tomorrow dropping in the high 30 C next week. Hopefully the night temp drop below 30 C so I get some sleep.
Ben, after mid 40 C it is cool change, you do notice it. After the last few days 40 C feel almost nice.
I wish I say for my plants. I know I lost a least one Neps, why is it always the expensive ones?

Guess I have to put it down to surival of the fittest. I think I will convert most of my greenhouse into a shadehouse and keep a 2m x 2m for the lowlander and tropicals.

Looks like Australia had a cooler weekend. The heat in Malaysia is also bad, very hot here. I think most outdoor growers are affected by the intense heat in Malaysia. A side benefit for me, Red Spider Mites appeared.

Re: Heatwave!

Well South Australia is due for a cool change, we had 6 days of 40 C (equal the record set in 1908) + and another 3 days over 35 C. It has caused several deaths which is rather unusual for us. Victoria suffer a large fire east of Melbourne which destroyed 29 houses. The forecast for the Vics is another 43 C in a couple of days. This damn heatwave forecast to move into NSW.
Meanwhile in Ingram in Nth. Queensland is suffering a massive flood and there are reports of Mr. Saltie swim down the town streets.

Bactrus, why side benefit Red spider mites? I think I might not understand this :( (by the way did you get my last pm?)

As of now here in Manila, still quite cool, but judging from the heat waves you guys are having, I am going to prepare for the worse. Hot months here starts March, hopefully our shade will be ready within the month. Hope the rest of your plants will survive and recover soon Khaos.
