Re: for the road
They can grow in our climate! 2 part perlite: 1 part sphagnum moss as medium. Water tray 1 cm. Artificial lighting: Phillips T8 865. 14 hours light. 10 hours dark.

Re: for the road
bonjour
yes you can grow some ping in your country 'out door',nevertheless you should take some precautions. - no very sodden substrat( rot risk), espiecially when they are in dormancy - not under the rain , and in shaded place( or here in europe in morning sun) - use a calcareous( gypsum) mineral substrat to have a good capillarity and not a sodden substrat. - make to them a dormancy ( november to may here in europe) with a substrat just slightly wet I use no sphagnum for the mexican ping or temperate ( except some one) jeff |

Very very beautifull..... If I using 2' tank, how many T8 needs to use and how far from the light to plants? Please advice Thank for sharing |
Re: for the road
If you grow only few plants. 1 x T8 is enough.
6-7 inches from the light. |
Re: for the road
Dear Piscesilim,
Noted. The plant needs "light" or "heat" or both? How do we know either enough or not? Thank you |
Re: for the road
Light.
If red plant become green , light not enough. |
