This are the 4 stages of my N.xventrata pitcher development.

Stage 1.
Small closed pitcher.

Stage 2.
Expanding and becoming bigger.

Stage 3.
Opening.

My plant is becoming crazy and producing many pitchers just after a week or two at my house. The pitchers in the pictures are not the same. They are just different stages of different pitchers on my plant. New ones are also coming out. The plant is also getting taller.

While your plant is doing well, I hope you continue to provide the newer philosophy of fertilizing your plants and giving them more air circulation and sunlight. These are just some of the misconceptions that have kept many growers in the dark regarding nepenthes culture.
Nepenthes are heavy feeders!

Rainforestguy: you mean you can fertilise Neps? What type?

Last ime I foliar mine, the leaves got burn.

Can use. Two years ago I had amp. Fertilized it and watered with tap water with no ill effects. Growed very well until last year when I shifted houses. Forgot to bring it. When I returned to get any things I wanted to bring there, amp already dead. http://s3.images.proboards.com/cry.gif . Mine was already pitcher crazy. Now I want to plant amp again. Easy to grow.
