Fauzi told me that Rajah can hardly pitcher which exceeds only about 1 1/2 cm in LL condition so your one is 2 cm..that's a great start.
Please provide it with HL conditions as much as you can Aaron. It will reward you with even more big pitchers.

Good luck!

I bought a 2 in 1 meter. Theres a thermometer and a hygrometer in it. The temperature is from 35-26 and 26-20 C. The humidity is 75-80%.

Ooooohhh, thats good! The humidity is high enough. But still, if you can, put it in the cooler condition of your area. Hmmmm, now I start to seem addicted to buy rajah, my condition should be ok, hehehehehe.......I sincerely wish you luck for your rajah to grow a full pitcher!:1thumbup:

Cheers

Hi All,

Thanks Aaron for the photos.

Previously I am using 100% sphagnum moss as a media and I found that it is suitable if I can control the watering i.e 3-4 days once. Giving them a cool and humid place such as under other bigger nepenthes plants in my nursery. Since I cannot control the watering, I change the media using small coconut chip with more aeration to the roots system although it rains everyday.

The result is encouraging and the N.rajah that Aaron got is one of the plants that is starting to pitcher. I got the plant from BE end of July and 3 weeks after that all the pitchers dried up. After I repot them using the coconut chip, they started to form new shoots and a few of them have pitchers on all leaves.

So Aaron, the moral of the story is ..... control the watering for your N.rajah if you are using the sphagnum moss and make sure you put them in a cool humid place.

Thanks

Fauzi
