Fish Food......

Anyone trying to feed VFT fish food?
I tried,I sprinkle some fish flakes in the trap and put an ant in it.
I kinda regret it, so is it safe........?

VFT's need live food. The movement of the insect set the trap off and sealing process need for digestion.

Fish should not be used unless you are really desperate. This is because fish contains protein and other unwanted minerals. Unless you want your VFT to grow bonehard traps, hahahaha

Khoas I said I put an ant into it to trigger the trap, understand?so it's kind of half alive half dead.AND I THINK the trap is LEAKING digetive juices.Maybe it's too full?

Is your trap bent outward and shiny looking?

I have never seen VFT trap leaking digetive juices. Could it be that you applied some water on your fish food before placing into the trap? Or maybe the ant you put in is too juicy.
