Hey pal, this is a group purchase that KC is organizing and I'm sure he knows what he is doing...is there a point to question this and that when there is some one kind enough to organize such group purchase to bring in some new thing that does not exist locally yet(or perhaps still very rare) when the only thing u need to do is to decide whether to join the purchase to get something u want or to leave it...

Thanks for the luck wishing on propagation though

they show more green and red now after being left under lighting for a day, I dare not do leaf cutting at the moment as the risk is there, will be patient over their growth, overall still satisfying since they show no sign of dormancy or death:1thumbup:

thanks casey for all the hardwork to bring in those rare stuff:smile:

Re: VFT cup trap

guys,do make an update of your plants :)
i love seeing Cup Traps grow!

edwardyeeks 22nd February 2011 06:48 PM

Re: VFT cup trap

Very nice!! Keep updating us with the condition of the plants. Hopefully they won't be soo expensive next time and of we do purchase them, at least we have you people who bought them to guide us :)

caseyhoo 22nd February 2011 11:03 PM

Re: VFT cup trap

As told by seller. Those VFT is just breaking dormancy.

How I wish I able propagate more of them and distribute and make it common at Malaysia. But, it really take time to do so.

Harris Azariel 22nd February 2011 11:29 PM

Re: VFT cup trap

so it will flower soon i guess!
u can snip the 2inch high stalk fr propagation!

ya...agree, judging by the size, leaf pulling is still a long way to grow...especially waiting for them to grow big...takes lot of time

edwardyeeks 23rd February 2011 05:37 PM

Re: VFT cup trap

At this size I'm estimating one to one and a half year for leaf pulling to be possible  I can wait

sooxiwei 2nd March 2011 10:35 PM

Re: VFT cup trap

Update...I saw a flower stalk from the vft cup trap, my first ever flower from a vft...any one has any idea what to do with that?

jimmy0123 2nd March 2011 11:08 PM

Re: VFT cup trap

Waa so fast flower after you bought it. You should pollinate it to increase the availability of this plant in Malaysia and also so i can buy the seed from you *biggrin2*

Harris Azariel 2nd March 2011 11:09 PM

Re: VFT cup trap

as i tought!i know it'll flower and this is the time u can propagate it!

an expert says wait till it grows around 1.5inch high then u can snip it and stick it into the soil :)

phangst 3rd March 2011 01:25 AM

Re: VFT cup trap

since the plant are small, it will consume many energy from plant, i suggest to cut the flower stalk.

caseyhoo 3rd March 2011 09:59 AM

Re: VFT cup trap

Mine is flowering as well...

thanks for the advice:smile:

thought of doing a leaf pulling, then let the flower goes on...

edwardyeeks 3rd March 2011 08:57 PM

Re: VFT cup trap

Cut the flower stalk. There's much more chances of getting a new plant instead of letting it flower and risk killing the plant. I gotta say that the VFT must be really healthy to flower this early :1thumbup:

Harris Azariel 4th March 2011 03:45 PM

Re: VFT cup trap

VFT cup trap is a small from what experts told me.they can grow the widest is around 2.5inch diameter -3inch from this on grower's experience.

i hope u both get the stalk propagated soon!

sooxiwei 4th March 2011 05:22 PM

Re: VFT cup trap

As advice, the stalk chopped:smile:
