End of greenhouse season
I've posted this already in other forums. I hope it's ok to post it here again because I like this forum very much.
Weather gets frosty here and my plants had to leave the greenhouse this weekend. Again for months no sitting in the sunflooded greenhouse and enjoying the plants while having a cup of beer. I was a bit afraid that I won't get all the plants back in the basement because some of them had some good grow this summer in the greenhouse. Having them seperated I took the chance for some photos of a few of them. One of my very few newbies this year: N. burbidgeae x edwardsiana (Malesiana tropics) http://www.3ddart.com/neps/burb_eddie01.jpg Just repotted in spring: N. thorelii (d) x truncata (Exoticaplants) http://www.3ddart.com/neps/thorelii_x_truncata02.jpg N. lowii x campanulata (Exoticaplants) http://www.3ddart.com/neps/lowii_camp05.jpg http://www.3ddart.com/neps/lowii_camp06.jpg pitcher before with lots of exudate. Insects got really attracted by this and the pitcher was good filled http://www.3ddart.com/neps/lowii_camp07.jpg the often discussed N. eymae (Wistuba). I really like it what ever it is. http://www.3ddart.com/neps/eymae03.jpg http://www.3ddart.com/neps/eymae04.jpg N. sibuyanensis x xTrusmadiensis (Exoticaplants). The basals started developing in december 2009. http://www.3ddart.com/neps/sib_tm02.jpg N. mira x lowii (Christian Klein) http://www.3ddart.com/neps/mira_lowii06.jpg http://www.3ddart.com/neps/mira_lowii07.jpg after 6 years waiting the first flower (male) for my N. ventricosa x xiphioides (Wistuba) http://www.3ddart.com/neps/vent_xiph04.jpg in the basement already totally nuts my N. spathulata with over 20 flower stalks: http://www.3ddart.com/neps/spath_flower_01.jpg http://www.3ddart.com/neps/spath_flower_02.jpg Goodbye old trusty friend :crying: http://www.3ddart.com/neps/spider.jpg |

Wish your plants will continue to grow well... |
Re: End of greenhouse season
really nice plants.
Having transfered to the basement and with the changed in environment i like to know what is the response of N.spathulata's flowers once they ripe ie what is rate of germination of seeds per pod. This will take time and will only be able to evaluate once they ripe, sow and germinate. |

Many thanks for your comments!

Germination of the spathulata's seeds always took 3 months. So this will be quite a long time for seeing how the plant took the transferring and the lots of flower stalks. |
