Do not forget, give fungicide on the scar

after you stick on spaghnum..you'll see this root growth:tongue:

so once awhile,u will uproot all your sarrs to view if theres mealy bugs?

hey,will Malathion work for sarracenias?i mean is it safe?

when plants attacked by mealy bug, it would seem unusual leaf growth.
then I uproot and check plants.
i dont find that insecticide brand here. here i use cheap sistemic insecticide.:shy:
wash the roots thoroughly, then spray pesticides. replant again with new fresh media.
repeat spraying pesticides from surface media after few days/week. depend on the plant health

i also got some sarrs seed but still in stratification.2months :(

hope mine germinated soon and grow fast !

Robert,whats the substrate?are they drain holes below the container?

Drain holes are made on the sides approx one inch above the base so that substracts are always mildly wet.
