Hi everyone

Just had a tincy question.....Most rajahs in the wild have their tendrills and pitcher bud rest on the spaghmum on the ground...So in cultivation do they have to put their pitchers on something too?

And yeah look at this link most of you might have seen before but man sooo many Rajahs.

Hi Aaron

Do you think they actually need something to rest on for the pitchers to form????? Anyways if i were to have a rajah in a small pot and i turned it over and it comes out in a shape of the pot and then i add some "soil" into the bigger pot together with the pot shaped media does that count as repotting and does the plant feel the same amount of stress as changing the whole media?

Re: Nepenthes Rajah Cultivation

Well as my pot is large the pitchers all rest on the media. Ken, that is how I transplant my rajah. I turn the plant upside down and pull the whole plant with the media and put into a bigger pot and add more media. It recovered very very quickly.

You sure??? I don't think so.....Maybe it depends on what species you're talking about....Try using ventricosa as a example it'll last forever.
