Re: Nepenthes Rajah Cultivation
Hi
Well those are "real" HL neps....But if you want some challenge and beauty maybe go for aristo, lowii, rajah, hamata, trusmadiensis something like those.....Maybe N predator? Ken |
Re: Nepenthes Rajah Cultivation
Ken,
xPredator is an intermediate. |
Re: Nepenthes Rajah Cultivation
Well I like hamata so much, but the price is too...I see many members in south Asia grow HL neps in their home with LL conditions, is it really? I think HL neps like big temperature distance between day and night, especially the low temperature at night, is it right?
|
Re: Nepenthes Rajah Cultivation
Yes but you can grow hamata in LL conditions if you give it a very high humidity. That's what i read somewhere in another forum.
|
Re: Nepenthes Rajah Cultivation
But the temperature in summer of south China is so high, average on 26C-37C. Maybe most HL neps can`t tolerate so high temperature. And the temperature at night is also reach 26C. So depressed...
Can you give me the link of the forum you said? Thank you! |

Re: Nepenthes Rajah Cultivation
Hi nbatp
Umm Well why not try to build a terrarium for your HL CPs???? Maybe start out with some easy growing ones first? For now Hamata is a little too expensive...Maybe a few years down the rode where more TC plants grow bigger than prices will go lower. And Ali you seem to look at websites i visit a lot haha. Ken |

If you can, eymae is an easy and colorful highlander. It handles heat very well. I have one that survived in the 100's day and night for a week.
