Potting mix
 
anyone tried to use dried turf grass clippings as potting media mixes? it had been sun dried to crisp...:confused:

Never tried but I forsee you will get lots of weed problems in a very short time... *biggrin2**biggrin2**biggrin2*

they are more to grass.....golf course grasses...plan to place them at the most bottom of the pot.

I C.... just make sure they don't have any extra fertilizer... bottom of the pot should be ok but it'll probably breakdown in a while...

IMHO, grass clippings do not retain much moisture when used by itself...

thats one of the reasons why i am trying to test out....some of the pots tht i have are stuffed wt coco fibers at the bottom just to make sure that excess water can be drained out and the moss cannot escape via the draining holes. next one might gonna try shredded papers.......

Beware that fungus will grow on wet paper...
