My sunlight deprived VFTs

Here're my VFTs at balcony, with only morning sun to enjoy. Recent weather with hot sun and sudden heavy rain is not helping. But so far so good, finger crossed.

They all look healthy to me, alpiner. Now HOW I wish I had a standing VFT.....

Winterkid, just put your VFT under the sun with no shade at all so it can get all the sun it needs during the day before the rain and let it be. VFTs are tough little guys.

Thanks. By all means, I'm not in the same playing field with most of you. I just started half year ago, newbie I am. You should start a new thread and page Casey and other sifus for advice.

Thanks. At close inspection, the color can be more intense. E.g the yellowish VFT has a shade of pink within the trap, so I'm not sure it's actually pink or red. The unknown red has stem of dark red, but traps are lighter. But so far no complaint, I'm easy to please. Need to learn "no-rain dance" to be performed in the morning.
Btw, any help in id-ing the species?

I always thought my VFTs are standing because they are reaching for the sky for more sunlight. But recent VFT from Allen is not standing up, so I guess they're diff species.

The typical VFT grows trap that lie down on the ground. There are cultivars or types that produce erect stalks and hold the traps upwards. Mine is the typical one. Btw alpiner, just to correct you that there is only one species of VFT which is Dionaea Muscipula. The reason why they are different is due to mutations during tissue culture and variation in seedlings.

Wow really nice VFTs....How do you guys even keep it for a year + Mine usually starts to die off as they go towards dormancy...

Thx. Learning something new, next time I'll call my thread "My mutant VFTs"*biggrin2*. From evolution standpoint, new species created through mutation. But I guess this is not the case here because all the traits from TC and seed grown VFT does not 100% pass down to next gen. It'll be great if someone can share the seedlings from akai ryu, fused tooth or anything that's quite different from typical VFT. Or these mutants are sterile?
