 Hahah
Why I included Peristome (in fact peristome thickness can make the pitcher looks WOW) because Nep like Veitchii or Northiana or Truncata.

Veitchii Peristome that helps the whole pitcher looks WOW! Dont you think so?

I believe the world LARGEST and Beautiful Flare Peristome.

well yes you are correct there is a big WOW factor with Peristomes. Though at this point it is aesthetic, then again because we are talking about "biggest" then maybe we can also discuss the nep/s that has the biggest peristome!

quite true, to compare truncata and rajah we will need to find the largest ever recorded with all the datas. photos taken at the site, ruler and volume measurement.

I wonder why nobody has done this before, comparing truncata and rajah with photos, ruler and measuring their volume as Robert has suggested. Good idea.

But i would think it's kinda difficult as we may get a picture whcih we all think is the picture of the biggest pitcher for that plant only to find out at another day that someone else found a bigger specimen.

Maybe someone should do this as an ongoing project that is updated on a regular basis. But gotto get the help of people all over the world to take a measurement with ruler etc when they happen to be at site and report back.

I would support this prject if someone takes it up.

Rajah is quite big but Truncata longer thats all.A Truncata pitcher can go inside a Rajah pitcher but a Rajah pitcher cant go into Truncata.I have seen a matured Rajah in person. Its not small.

Too bad Rajah its impossible to have big pitchers in low land conditions.

It's a great idea to hv such project:1thumbup:
we can hv something similar to Guinness World Records which record down the tallest/largest/widest mouth..etc of neps. Everybody just need to try their best to break the record:laugh:

I would oso suggest tat its not only recording rajah and truncata but others species as well like biggest rafflesiana. so tat we know how big they can grow up to.

My own rajah is medium size and its not doing well.I think it will die soon.I got it in a quite bad condition due to customs held it nearly 2 weeks.Im keeping it in a aquarium with TEC cooled but it seems not helping.

I saw first time in Kota Kinabalu 9 years ago and recently saw it at BE in Singapore.Just google for rajah pictures and you can see how large it is.If you are rich get the beverage chiller with big glass display which they have in restaurant and put ur rajah in it.
