Re: Red Line VFT?
Oooh, casey that looks nice! Unfortunately I don't know the variety...hehe. But it looks like it had A LOT of sunlight to achieve that level of redness. Btw, it's 'traps' not 'pitchers'. :)

Re: Red Line VFT?
This is my Red Line. But sometime the trap lose the red line.
http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c2...esilim/RL2.jpg This is my typical. Sometime it show up the red line. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c2...esilim/RL1.jpg I would said this trait is not stable. And Red Line is not a registered cultivar. |
Re: Red Line VFT?
Lim, thanx for yours experience sharing and that is really helpful... I will continue keep my eyes on it after i propagate more of them...
again, Lim, thanx |
Re: Red Line VFT?
This trait seems relatively wide spread. I saw a few plants showing this characteristic on sale recently. I might had bought one if not because I have enough VFTs to take care of at the moment...:)

Re: Red Line VFT?
VFTs need cool night to show this red line, they disappear if the day and night temperature difference isn't more than 10 degree C.
Long Red Fingers have that red band too, but it gone in our climate, unless your are staying in Cameron Highlands. |
