not necessarily, spectabilis leaves turn deep red in good lighting :)

wow, very nice spectabilis you have there!:wub:

mine after a sticky start on lowland condition......notice the wobbly outline of the pitcher, however i am proud to have these little 'true gem' so cway, get one for yourself.....

thought i would share some pics of my young spectabilis pangulobau as well, the mature representations of this form show a much more tubby pitcher, and not near as extreme peristome...but we will see

Good job :1thumbup: .I gave up on growing spectabilis in LL condition after they died eventually.... however those spectabilis hybrids is doing well for me*biggrin2*

NepNut - spect hybrids are great, i only grow two currently though, spectabilis x aristolochioides and spectabilis x talangensis...

i really do hope to do some species breeding between my two mature plants, and hopefully the pangulobau plant will catch up so i can use him/her for more genetic variation and interesting species forms in the future :)

should try again.....mine not doing well too at the beginning.....but after trial and error.....managed to raised a decent pitcher...:blush:

I tried twice.... and both time encountered the same fate... it won't die right away but eventually mine just gave up... :crying:

they have 'sinabung' and 'sibuatan' varieties in stock...:tongue:
