Re: Pingu ID
sadly the flower just got blew off by a strong wind while i was in town... but another one will bloom in a week or so, and hopefully ill be able to take a picture. a quick question: do you think that for this pingu and for a drosera 5-6 hours of direct sun/day and around 70% on the rest of the day is enough?
Thanks in advance! |
Re: Pingu ID
OK
you can always let the sundew in the sun this is not a problem for them. Pinguicula like the ecologies of shade or half shade, morning sun does not bother them. As a rule, broad-leaved species are less tolerant to the sun than those with narrow leaves, besides the red or pink leaves is a good indicator (reaction of carotene and antocyans from the plant cell to the UV) (except those that these colors are perennial). the leaves can take a transparent color then we are on cooked leaves (here in europe a very very bad reaction to the sun or a frost, in these 2 case the plant cell are exploded) |
Re: Pingu ID
