the tricho x kuchingensis ground pitchers does not always appear in home cultivation. yours must have taken quite awhile to appear? your plants are very well taken care of, shawn.

Thanks Robert, The N. trich x kuchinensis just started to put out the ground pitchers like crazy this year, probably none about 6 months ago. I'm not sure what caused it but all of them, as well as the amps, started doing this at once. Perhaps it was when I transplanted them into the semi-shallow but very wide clay pots or maybe the mix (mostly coco cubes) I used. I've also been giving them (very irregularly) a foliar feed of fish emulsion and recently a tiny bit of Osmacote fertilizer...or maybe I'm just lucky! http://s4.images.proboards.com/grin.gif I love the wide mouths on the tricho x kuch ground pitchers.

Jeff1u - yep, that bical is just now starting to turn out new pitchers and the orange color with the green edges is outrageous! BE was out of the medium size plants that I ordered back then, but was nice enough to replace them with XL sizes instead at the same price! Thanks BE!

Thanks for the corrections on the names guys! I'm on my way out to re-label them! I'm enjoying the look of the 'New" forum!
