Re: CP from Japan to M'sia?
Well, no idea about the import but try this link; http://homepage3.nifty.com/jcps/link_sale.html from the Japanese CP Society. (Hint - as your mouse passes over a link, look in the bottom left hand corner of your screen for an English HTML type listing). Good luck!

Check out this thread from the old petpitcher forum. I am not sure if David has moved it here yet.

Re: CP from Japan to M'sia?
hehehe, you guys went all OT there :) I hope Jessie doesn't mind as some are still relevant about importation.
All I can contribute is that In Kansai/Osaka area, called Izumisano or Rinktown area, there is a shop called "Konan" and outside this big store there are gardening stuff and plants, often I'd see some CPs there and that is where my CPs from Japan came from. I am not sure about Malaysian vs. Philippine import laws, but if you are going to bring in one or two plants only, just unpot them and wrap them in moist tissue paper and put in ziplock bag then protect from being crushed, stick in baggage or handcarry bag and off you go. Don't try to bring a lot or a big plant though. Again I don't know how strict malaysian quarintine officers are on small quantity plants like this. Aaron, in Thailand, I know for a fact that Chatuchuk Market would have some CPs, but I am not saying that is the best place to get them, I just know coz a friend was able to get them there, they even had Akai Ryu VFT. In Koh Samui..... Shawn's Nursery! hahahaha! TTFN Arvin |
Re: CP from Japan to M'sia?
I need a lesson on all this abbreviations from Arvin... what's OT?
Anyway, no worries about the add ons... the more the merrier! Hmmm... dun think I will have much time around Osaka to look around (office trip) but will bear in mind, in case. On my own in Tokyo though, so, anyone know any place I can nose around there? |
Re: CP from Japan to M'sia?
OT means Out of Topic :)
Sorry not very familiar with Tokyo, but I suggest that whenever you see a gardening section that sells live plants, go look. Unfortunately from out of the 5 that I have recently visited, only 2 had CPs, luckily both were a bit near where i usually stay (in Osaka) and the one I got my plants from was just 5 mins. away by car. Do more searches and also do check out the link that Shawn posted, try emailing them and ask them where you can get CPs in Japan or if there are known shops that have CPs in Tokyo. http://www.hc-kohnan.com/hc/foreign/..._shopphoto.jpg Sample photo from their website, unfortunately english version didn't have much data on where they are located. But the photo above shows how the plant section looks like, this is not the same shop where I bought mine though. http://www.hc-kohnan.com/hc/foreign/eng001_gaiyo.html Lastly please understand that if you buy from them, you are technically doing "rescue" purchase, compared to buying from a nursery that hopefully you can contact through email through the URL that shawn mentioned. Good luck! TTFN Arvin |
