I agree, that's what it looks like from the leaf but the picture is a little "fuzzy". Could you take a couple more; one close up of leaf (top and profile, if possible) and one or two of the whole plant, and also post some pics when it's flowers open? I think the spelling is Hoya finlaysonii, without the first "a", but check it out. :unsure:

Shawn... You're right!

It's does look like H. finlaysonii! It also looks abit like a Hoya with drying leaves as well... (scratch head!)

Hmmm... We'll just wait until this particular specimen grow a bit.

Once again thanks...

I hope it is...

Waaa... I'm getting good at this Hoya thingy... Really so badly yearns for Hoya imperialis...

Anyway... Thanks again...

Hey lisham, I have a couple H. imperialis (deep red)...made some cuttings last month but they are already spoken for by others. Shouldn't be more than another month or two until I can make at least one more. It'll take another month to root up after that. Another forum member has spoken about sending me a cutting of one of his. Keep posting and perhaps someone will beat me to it!:biggrin: How is the mail/customs where you are? I root Hoyas in sphagnum, some places they say "ok" others "no way"!

Hi again Lisham,

Hmmm, I just had a wild collected cutting from last year bloom for the first time and it looks very similiar. Your picture was a little blurry so I can't tell 100%. I thought mine was one of three species (Verticillata/acuta/parasitica) but sent pictures to the 'experts' and they came back with something totally different; H. ridleyi!
Here are a few shots, see if it is the same;

By the way, yes that 3rd one is a dischidia, can't recall the species just now, but it IS 5 am!:biggrin:

Hee, hee, hee! Sometimes when the flowers finally form and open we find that it's still just as confusing! The three species I mentioned all have a very similar look to their flowers. The plant I posted pictures of has longer corona parts than any of the pictures I could find of the three. (The outer star form is called the corolla and the inner, smaller star is the corona...I believe!) Good luck, I'll be waiting for your pictures when the rains let up. :crying:
