Ok, so I ordered the N. sibuyanensis and a N. mikei. I live in Washington so we get plenty of sun in the summer, and PLENTY of rain in the winter. I'm planning to keep them as indoor plants. I have read tons of info all over the internet on how to care and grow them, but it all seems to contradict itself. Plus, these two traps dont seem to have much info on them...

So, I decided to come to the experts and ask you guys; What is the best way to grow these indoors? What lighting, soil, potting, and watering methods would suit these plants will probably be more succesful for my plants? http://s3.images.proboards.com/cool.gif

any info would be much appreciated!

I think Neps are the most beautiful plants ever, I'm really excited to be able to grow them.

You guys that live where they grow naturally are really lucky!

Hello laxgoal, welcome to the forum.

sibuyanensis and mikei are both highlanders and they will need cooler day to cold night temperature , humidity around 85%. In all cases neps needs well drain media. There is no strict rule to follow in the media mix but usually i use perlite 60% and peat or sphagnum 40%. since i grow neps in the open i depend on direct sunlight. Other members growing their plants in tank maybe able to provide info on lighting.
