CERTIFICATE OF CULTURAL EXCELLENCE

This certificate is awarded to the exhibitor of a specimen plant of robust health and appearance with an unusually large number of flowers/traps. The plant must score the highest points in the poll. This award is the winner of the particular category.

The winner is decided by Judges' and Member’s votes.

This award shall only be given to one specimen in the entire competition, all categories combined.

This is awarded to a cultivar or a species, subspecies, variety or hybrid deemed especially worthy of recognition for rarity, novelty or educational value. This award shall only be given to one specimen in the entire competition, all categories combined. If no specimen can be found with the said criteria, this award shall not be given.

The winner is decided by general consensus among the Judges.

THE PETPITCHER AWARD OF MERIT

This award is given to encourage the exhibitor to push his/her efforts further in the cultivation of their plants with the ultimate goal of producing award winning plants. It recognizes the effort by the exhibitor in trying his/her utmost best in the competition. It affirms that the exhibitor has the potential to win in the future. This award cannot be given to exhibitors who have won any other awards.

The winner is decided by the Administrator.

Dear members,

The following competition categories below will not be carried out for this competition as the quota for the number of entries have not been met. My apologies for those who have submitted their entries. Please submit again in the next competition. Hopefully by then we would have enough entries to run the categories:

- Aquatic Utricularia
- Terrestrial Utricularia
- Tillandsia
- Bromeliads
- Platycerium

For the rest of the entries and participants, I wish you all the best. The Judges will start giving their comments from tomorrow onwards.

16 July 2009 - Please note that the judges can only log into the forum to judge the competition and give their comments from this weekend onwards. Please be patient and check the forum's calendar for updates and revision.

19 July 2009 - As discussed with the judges, judges are no longer required to post their comments and votes on the forum. All comments and votes shall be emailed to me and I will post the comments and votes collectively on the competition boards. Individual judges comments and votes shall remain anonymous on the forum.
