Folks,
This one should be N.rafflesiana right..? But are the distinctions to indicate its origin..? ie.. from peninsular, sabah or sarawak... or some other specific locality. |

Yes, N. rafflesiana, but sorry I don't know it's origin. Can I know where is your place/city of origin instead:tongue:, please.

Recently with some new info and TLC it has pitcher again..... but i never knew what nep. it was .. and i bought it from a nursery in sg. buloh so i dun know where it came from either.. |
Re: N.rafflesiana..... no?
its most probably rafflesiana 'Johore Spotted' (MT's TC clone) but i'd personally tag it as N. rafflesiana 'typical' as you can never be sure of its origin.
Aaron, raff kuching red squat from MT have got a very distinctive pink tone to the pitchers and has got tri-color spottings when almost/mature |
Re: N.rafflesiana..... no?
Yes, I agree it's a N. rafflesiana typical form
|
Re: N.rafflesiana..... no?
My johor spotted is greener so I'm not sure.

|
Re: N.rafflesiana..... no?
this could be N. X dyrianna...not 100% sure
|
Re: N.rafflesiana..... no?
it is a raff, but impossible to give a locale from just looking at the pitchers/plant.
|
Re: N.rafflesiana..... no?
I don't hink it's a dyeriana....dyeriana has bigger peristome....It doesn't look like any raff I seen before...Very long shaped....A var elongata?I dun think so....I just got one..
|
Re: N.rafflesiana..... no?
I have another one like yours.
|
Re: N.rafflesiana..... no?
well the raff in my first set of pictures have more distinct 'brown' on the pitcher than the second set of pictures .. thats why i thought that would be an indication of the location the plant would be from....
