Sarra and Drosera ID

Please ID this Sarra. It is grown in normal soil.(The nursery owner simply changed the media without asking me first. He say no nutrientslah.) Lazy to change. Can don't need to change or not?

This drosera too! It has pink flowers and flat,ground-hugging leaves.

Hi plantlover!

This a Sarracenia "Stevensii".It's one of the most common sarracenias in our Garden Centers.
It seems a hybrid of Sarracenia leucophylla x Sarracenia x rubra subsp. gulfensis.

Sarracenia stevensii {auct. non Hort. ex Mast.: R.van Kessel}] P: http://www.carniflora.nl/english/sar...stev_plant.htm (2003)S: =[[Sarracenia leucophylla {Raf.}] * [Sarracenia rubra {Walt.} subsp.gulfensis {Schnell}]]C: later synonym of [Sarracenia farnhamii {Hort.Farnham}]

What soil you are using for your sarra?

Change already. Now sphagnum moss.Because the leaves are browning and new shoots dying.

Hi Plantlover, so you have a clearer photo of the Drosera. The one there is a bit blurry.

Hi Aaron,
It will turn pinkish when expose to full sunlight. This is a beautiful plant. Since you have just got the media changed, place the plant in a bright spot for at least a week to recuperate from the stress, then you may introduce it to full sunlight, it will reward you with beautiful colour. Please be sure to let it sit on a water tray. :2thumbup:

Strath76: Sorry,strath76. I don't have a clearer photo. Its so hard to focus on that tiny drosera. I don't have my digital camera too!

TS: Thanks for the advise. Will try it. But now I'm already exposing it to full sun. My house no shady place.(A little but my dad will scold me for simply leaving it anywhere)
