Re: My lost
Aw, thats too bad. How long have you had it?

Re: My lost
So sorry about your VFT.I don't think VFT is going dormant now. It's the wrong time. They should be waking up now.

Re: My lost
Hi Alcran
Well i have about a year + quite a big VFT........Anyways i can't really confirme its death yet because the rhizome isn't black or rotting YET and also i see tiny little pointy stuff coming out from the rhizome so maybe its new growth...So i'll see how it goes. Ken |
Re: My lost
Marvin, dormancy can happen anytime in tropical countries. Unlike temperate countries with four season.

Re: My lost
dormancy does not look like the plant is fully dead but its sad that your plant die.:crying:

Re: My lost
Ken, check the bulbs. if its still white than its not dead but if its brown and mushy then its dead.
|
Re: My lost
Just keep the plant. Keep it until you see the rhizome starting to turn black. Hopefully your VFT is putting a false alarm........
Cheers |
Re: My lost
Hi Varhoon
Normally a plant does not die back completely when it goes for dormancy but they definitly do in some cases....(Hoping mine is part of the case) Anyways the rhizome is not mushy and rotten yet still quite ok........I'll take you advices and continue to keep the plant but less wet just in case...I just hope its not the black spot thing.
