wow! i wonder what is the electricity comsumption is like......from what i can see, the basic concept of the cooling 'mechanism' derives from the computer's cpu. (with those zinc copper like material blades)

Actually, the pads are made from cellulose, it's sort of like paper. The concept is almost the same where by increasing the surface volume to maximize the transfer of heat or evaporation.

CPU's heat sink worked by dissipating/releasing thermal heat whereas these cellulose pads worked by evaporation of the water to release cooler air with high humidity.
